Grade Three
Third Grade Supply List - updated 7/9/2011
$125 per student (Make check payable to Woods Charter School; memo line - 3rd grade fund.) This money will be used to purchase math, French, spelling, reading comprehension, and vocabulary workbooks as well as a writing process folder and the Student Planner. It will also be used towards the purchase of science and art supplies that are utilized throughout the year to enhance the Core Knowledge curriculum.
Community supplies:
The following supplies will be collected during the first week of school and will be used throughout the year by the entire class (please do NOT label these items).
• #2 pencils - 1 pack of 24 (Ticonderoga brand of pencils preferred - these pencils last the longest!)
• at least 4 BIG erasers (no pencil top erasers please!)
• 8 glue sticks (1 big package)
• 1 glue bottle
• 8 Expo markers (any color)
• 1 package of loose-leaf wide-ruled paper
• 1 package of white computer paper
• 1-2 packages of modeling clay and/or Play dough (prefer natural, earth tone colors)
• 1 pack of 11 x 14 construction paper (loose leaf, not bound)
• 1 package of pipe cleaners (any color)
• 1 big pack of post-it notes (any color)
• 1 package of highlighters (4 or more, any color)
• 1 small package of white lined notecards (3x5)
**Tissues, Paper Towels, Clorox Wipes, and Liquid Soap -- Because we don't have enough room to store these items all year, we will ask 1-2 students in each class to bring in these supplies each month. Please do not send these items in on the first day of school.**
Individual Supplies:
These items are for each student's individual use so please label each item with your child's name (with a Sharpie). Please do not send in a pencil box. If your child wants a simple pencil bag for the calculator and watercolors that would be fine.
• 11 Manila Folders (color does not matter but the student will need to write on the front, so glossy folders are not preferred)
• 2 composition notebooks (not spiral & not where you can tear out pages)
• 4-function calculator
• 1 palette of watercolors with a brush
Extra Needs (optional donations):
1 Electric pencil sharpener for each class (we tend to go through several of these each year because they are used so frequently)
Cardstock (white or colored)
Colored Computer Printer Paper
