  • In order for Woods families to take full advantage of the North Carolina Summer Sales Tax Holiday running August 6th - 8th, all supply lists on the website for the upcoming school year will be updated prior to August 4th. Please note the update date at the top of each list to determine if it has been updated for the new school year.   • We are planning a wonderful field day for the high school - and we need your help. The PTSA has made a generous donation towards the cost of food, but that will not cover everything.

  • Construction on Andrews Store Road

  • As you may have noticed, road work on Andrews Store Road began this morning. This work will continue over the next six (6) months. The school will be accessible throughout; however, routes and detours may change as the project proceeds. Ultimately this project, being conducted by Briar Chapel in coordination with DOT, will improve sight lines and traffic flow.
  • Silent Auction Huge Success

  • The Woods Charter School Foundation raised more than $7,000 at this year’s silent auction! The Foundation would like to applaud and thank Cindy Darden, Deb Kozlowski, and Brett Durham for organizing Art in the Woods – it was a wonderful display of artwork done by our students and a perfect venue for the auction.
  • Fall Volleyball Tryouts

  • Tryouts for next year's varsity volleyball team will begin on Monday, August 16 at 9 a.m., and pre-season will continue until school begins. Tryouts are open to all girls entering 7th-12th grades. Please contact Laura Ackerman with any questions: lackerman@woodscharter.org

  • If your child is NOT returning to Woods this fall, please email hgallagher@woodscharter.org. Heather will send you the necessary form to withdraw your child and to ensure a smooth transfer of records to their new school. This is very important both to Woods and to their new school that they will be attending.
  • Save the Date - Volunteer Opportunity

  • Save the date! *Saturday, August 14th from 9:00 - 4:00*. We need your help getting the school "spruced up" and ready for the new school year. Touch up painting, gum removal from under desks, windows washed, dusting, cleaning trashcans, replacing light bulbs, weeding, mulching, and the list goes on. We also will be inviting our new families to come out to meet current Woods families. We need Crew Leaders that will help us with the coordinating, organizing the various tasks as well as Welcome families to greet the new families, answer questions, tour the school, etc. You may come for the entire day orr for a few hours.
