PTSA Membership/Contribution
What is the PTSA?
An organization comprised of parents, teachers and students dedicated to improving the educational quality and experiences of the entire Woods family.
How do I join?
Anyone can join. The suggested Contribution Amount is $25 for a single child and $40 for a family. We would also like everyone who is interested to come to meetings and volunteer.
Where will my money go?
* Each teacher will receive money to be used for classroom needs
* Each group elementary, middle and high school will receive funds to help with continuing education workshops and training
* Equipment for outdoor areas
* Funds for art and music supplies.
* PTSA functions such as our talent show, Art in the Woods, and the end of the year cookout.
What other fundraisers will we do?
* Grocery Cards- If all of our families will buy some amount of grocery cards and this contribution we would not need to hold any additional fundraisers the entire year. If you already shop at Lowes Foods, Whole Foods, or Food Lion please buy cards. It cost you nothing. If you buy $200 worth of cards you get $200 worth of groceries. * Read-A-Thon - Last year, your pledges raised almost $15,000 to help the school.
What will I get with my PTSA family Membership?
* Admission to all family members to PTSA functions such as Art in the Woods, and the Woods Talent Show
* $5. 00 off coupon for our Woods School Calendar
* Coupons from participating retailers
* A wonderful Woods Charter cup for each member of your family
